Registration & Admission

-New enrollments are accepted at any time there are openings available.
- Health forms included in the registration packet need to be signed by your doctor and returned.
-In order to ensure a proper learning situation, enrollment is restricted to children displaying normal behavior patterns. This facility reserves the right to dismiss a child after consultation with the parents, when the welfare of the children would make this advisable. -We are licensed by the State of Montana, Department of Public Health & Human Services. Payment Policies

-Tuition is paid monthly and due on the 1st.
-Payments received after the 5th incur a $35 late fee plus $5/day until paid.
-Rates may increase annually in January with notice.

Parent Communication

-Announcements are sent home regularly.
-Parents may request conferences anytime.
-Parents are welcome to visit during operating hours.

Hours of Operation

Monday – Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Late pickup fees:
$25 minimum after 5:30 p.m.
$10 per additional 15 minutes.

- In compliance with the CACFP, Little Angel Daycare provides a nutritious morning and afternoon snack. Parents are required to bring a sack lunch Monday through Friday. Children are required to bring a non-perishable sack lunch, labeled and put in their cubby or in their room's refrigerator or cooler if necessary.

School Calendar and Announcements

-We follow the Helena Public School District calendar. Parents receive a yearly list of closures and holidays.
-Announcements will be sent home with your child. Please check your child's cubby daily.

Health & Safety Policies

-Children must stay home with fever (100.5+), vomiting, or diarrhea until symptom-free for 24 hours.
-Parents will be contacted immediately if a child becomes ill or injured.
-Sick children are isolated until pickup.
-Emergency care will be provided at St. Peter’s Hospital if needed.

Parent Participation

-Families are encouraged to volunteer and participate in activities.
-Parents are free to visit the facility any time during the hours of operation.

Field Trips & Transportation

- Parents will be informed of the field trips in advance.
- A signed permission slip is required for each child.
- Little Angel Daycare provides transportation for field trips, summer program and afterschool pick up.
-Parents are required to provide the daycare with the child's car seat the day of the field trip.
-All children are required to be restrained in their car seats.
-All children in the summer program are required to be restrained in seat belts.
-Children will not be allowed to attend the field trip without use of a car seat.
-Parents are required to have signed and dated Transportation forms on file.

Items to Bring

-Labeled school bag
-Change of clothes labeled with name
-Water bottle
-Blanket for nap time
-A nutritious lunch daily
-Infants must also bring diapers, wipes, formula or breast milk, bottles, baby food, and 2 changes of clothes.
-Children are asked not to bring toys unless they are for Show & Tell

Attendence

-Should a child be unable to attend daycare-preschool because of an illness or family events, please let me know as soon as possible. Prior notice is appreciated, if possible.

Clothing and Personal Belongings

-Please dress your child in clothing he/she can really feel free to play in.
- Girls may prefer to wear pants, as children will play often outdoors or on the floor.
-In cold or cool weather, send sweaters, snowsuits, cap and mittens. They will need them for outdoor play.
- If the ground is very damp or if there has been rain or snow the previous day, please send boots.
-Please mark all of your child's belongings with his/her first and last names.

Healthcare

-We believe the primary responsibility for a child's health rests with the parents. Daycare-preschool personnel are in a position to assists parents. We observe health changes and will advise the parents accordingly. Examples include hearing and vision problems.
-The State of Montana requires that all children enrolled in the daycare-preschool must provide documentation of current immunizations. If the child is not current with his/her immunizations, they are not allowed to attend school, as per current Montana State Law.
-If your child becomes ill, please let us know. This is especially important in the case of a communicable disease such as chicken pox. It is our policy to alert other parents so that they can keep track of the incubation period and be alert for symptoms.
-Your child should be kept home with a fever of 100.5 degrees or higher, vomiting and/or diarrhea and cannot return to daycare 24 hours after symptoms have subsided.
-If a child is injured, the daycare will apply first aid techniques; complete an injury report for the parents and daycare and contact parents if necessary.
-If your child becomes ill or injured during care, we will contact you immediately and expect you to pick them up within one (1) hour.
-Sick children will be isolated from the other children until the parent arrives.
-If a medical emergency should arise during daycare-preschool hours, every effort will be made to contact the parents, recommended relatives or friends, or the child's family physician. If this is unsuccessful, the child will be taken to St. Peter's Hospital in Helena.
-Child Care Licensing, 444-1954, will be notified if a child required medical attention.
- Little Angel Daycare & Preschool follows the standards for health and safety as required by the State Department of Public Health & Human Services.
- In the case of suspected accidental poisoning, Little Angel Daycare will immediately contact Poison Control for direction (1-800-222-1222).

Licensing

We are licensed by the State of Montana Department of Public Health & Human Services and follow all required health and safety standards.

Birthdays and Holidays

-If parents wish to help celebrate a child's birthday, they may send a special treat
-We will celebrate appropriate holidays and will inforom parents in advance as to activities

Conferences

The parent may arrange for a special conference with the teacher and/or daycare provider at any time.
